Tuskegee Airmen Memorial

Bronze and granite base, approximately 6 x 3 x 3 ft, Rouge Park, Detroit, MI

In reverence to a genuine hero, Alexander Jefferson, Brantley was selected by a panel of community architects, artists, and historians to create a tribute to the extraordinary Lieutenant Colonel—a Tuskegee Airmen who triumphantly soared through the skies of World War II and gracefully landed in our hearts. His enduring legacy as a mentor and community beacon in Detroit continues to inspire us all.
